Tiburon Yacht Club is a friendly, informal club offering a wide range of activities for those interested in yachting.
We are located on the east side of the Tiburon peninsula at Paradise Cay Marina, which offers ample docking and direct access from San Francisco Bay.
Our Club is emphatically a "Yacht" Club rather than a "Social" Club, and in our thirty-odd years of existence we have established a spirit and tradition envied by many other Bay area Clubs. We offer something for everyone. Programs include racing, cruising, and social events, as well as inter-Club programs involving our participation as active members of PICYA, SYRA, SBRA, YRA, and ODCA as regatta sponsors.
Our Calendar of Activities in 2011 includes:
Overnight Cruises to Bay Area yacht clubs or other ports of call, for power & sail boaters.
17 "Beer can" Friday Night Sailing Races during the summer, with an informal dinner afterwards.
18 Series and Special Event Sailing Races.
A cruise to a S.F. Giants game, and more.
Theme parties with dining, music and dancing.
Our Monthly Meetings feature programs of interest about boating recreation and activities.
We welcome membership inquiries. Regular Memberships are available for boat owners or charterers. Associate Memberships are for non-boat owners; Crew and Junior Memberships for younger non-boat owners. Members receive our monthly newsletter, Westerlies, the Club's Burgee and a Membership Card offering reciprocal privileges with yacht clubs in the Bay Area and worldwide. As an all-volunteer club, our fees are quite reasonable. For more information, please email our Membership Chair , or see our online application form.
